London Sport is a charity dedicated to improving the health and happiness of all Londoners through physical activity, with a particular focus on children and adults in deprived communities. Supported by Sport England and the Mayor of London, they collaborate with local authorities and various organisations to enhance access to sports and physical activities across the city.
To tackle challenges in communication, managerial roles, and objective setting, London Sport turned to Right Management to improve clarity and effectiveness in interactions, define and reinforce managerial responsibilities, and set clear, accountable goals. By partnering with us, London Sport aimed to address these challenges and improve their operational efficiency and overall impact.
The solution
Right Management designed and delivered a comprehensive programme consisting of three core modules.
The three-part workshop series progressively built managerial capability by first establishing core skills like delegation and feedback, then strengthening communication for impactful interactions, and finally equipping managers to handle difficult conversations and adopt a coaching mindset.
Additionally, the programme included a microaggression awareness workshop to further support an inclusive and respectful workplace environment.
“I had the pleasure of working with Lisa and the Right Management team on the London Sport Leadership and Management training programme in 2024. Right Management went to great lengths to provide a series of bespoke Leadership and Management training courses that were designed specifically to meet the needs of my organisation. Content was created based on our requests, with excellent facilitation that created an atmosphere conducive to learning. High quality resources added to the impact of the learning whilst reflection meetings between sessions ensured proposed activities could be adapted based on both observations and feedback. I would certainly continue to work with Right Management in the future given my positive experience with them.”
