A global manufacturer of connectors and sensors identified a need to improve engagement scores for its management/leader population, and to bolster the development of its mid-level leaders, globally.

Key business challenges included:

The solution

We developed a programme that enabled growth of skills and capabilities, drove higher productivity, performance, accountability and engagement, and helped deliver the client's goals around strategy, execution and talent. Key elements of the programme included:

  • A programme incorporating Education (4-day classroom event and webinars), Experience (action learning groups, business projects) and Exposure (senior business speakers and line manager coaching)
  • Custom-built online resource portal to deliver programme materials and learning resources (articles, tips and videos) and manage communication
  • Global facilitation in eight languages (English, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French)
  • Global programme management from the UK; with a single point-of-contact ensuring responsiveness and seamless project management

The impact

  • Over 3,000 leaders have been supported globally since programme launch​.
  • 100% of attendees reported a lift in capabilities in the key competency areas.

We've since worked with the client to re-configure the programme for 100% virtual delivery, including pre and post self-study, a range of modules and a highly interactive programme of learning. This has enabled more people to join the programme due to a reduction in travel time and cost, as well as less time away from ‘the office’.
